Condition: Exceptional and very nearly flawless front. Back has one small silver speck in upper right – invisible from front. Other than that – the amulet is in exceptional condition. The amulet is bright white, and with good 25% clarity (translucence) – with very even color and clarity.
Color: Bright white front and reverse.
White Jade Stone Origin: Burma (Myanmar)
Translucence – 25%. Rather thick in comparison to our main collection, and so not all that transparent. However, the white jade quality in this amulet is significantly higher. This amulet has some polishing on all sides – but it wouldn’t hurt if you wanted to really polish it up. These amulets are unique from what you will see at other Thai amulet collectors because nearly always you will see white jade polished – which makes it much more translucent. Whether you choose to finish it at a jeweler is up to you. Some may find it more pleasing to the eye. Others will prefer it in it’s unembellished raw state.
Reverse: Inscribed with monk’s initials and sacred sign.
Blessing: Abbot of Wat Lahn Kuat in Sisaket, Thailand on the border with Cambodia.
Value: One of the most rare amulets found in Thailand since a very limited number were made.
This is the fourth amulet in our collection of premium rectangular Somdej Buddha amulets carved from rare white jade (jadeite) here in Thailand. We have a very limited and exclusive collection of 8 of these Buddhas, and we cannot get any more – these are offered for the public once, and are one-of-a-kind amulets that are ideal as gifts among family or good friends.
These amulets, with proper care, should last a lifetime. Jadeite is very strong, similar to quartz or marble.
Each amulet comes with a solid silver hinged case with ornate, though pleasing, design.
This amulet is guaranteed authentic, and is carved out of the same stone used to create the life-size statue of Buddha meditating at Wat Lahn Kuat in Thailand.
This amulet, is $229 and includes an ornate solid silver case (required for protection).
